Survivor Celebration Kicks Off October Awareness
Good Shepherd Medical Center - Marshall will hold a Survivor Celebration on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 2 p.m. to honor employees who are survivors or are currently fighting cancer.
GSMC recognizes September as Peripheral Arterial Disease Awareness Month
Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is a condition that develops when the arteries that supply oxygen-rich blood to the internal organs, arms and legs become completely or partially blocked as a result of atherosclerosis (buildup of plaque). PAD can increase the risk of heart attack, stroke, amputation and possibly death. PAD affects eight to 12 million Americans, which is why September is recognized as PAD Awareness Month.

Free Saturday Athletic Injury Clinic
Saturday Mornings | Aug. 29 - Nov. 7 | 8 - 10 a.m.
Our goal is to keep you in the game. If your student athlete has experienced an acute athletic injury in the last 72 hours, visit our free screening clinic.
Good Shepherd - Marshall invites you to join us Saturday, October 10 for a Diaper Derby at the FireAnt Festival.
Age groups are:
First Division: Babies 8 months & under
Second Division: Babies 9 months & up
No entry fee required. Prizes will be awarded to babies who place in first and second place in both divisions. Click here for race details and an entry form.
The race will begin at 11:30 a.m. but participants must check in by 11:15 a.m. on race day.
